Why it costs what it costs
This one system replaces three products.
This one system does the job of three separate products. Buying a comparable video monitor, breathing monitor and sleep tracker from other brands typically costs more, and none of them talk to each other.

Comparable-product prices are typical Australian retail for similar standalone products from other brands, indicative only. Nanit does not sell a video monitor or breathing monitor as separate products; Nanit Insights is not a medical device.

Every feature, explained
What this camera actually does
The same camera, the same features, in every Nanit Pro configuration. Pick one to see what it does, how it works, and what it replaces.
Breathing motion monitoring with nothing on your baby
- What it does
- Tracks breathing motion all night and alerts you if it stops being detected.
- How it works
- The camera reads the pattern printed on the included Breathing Wear band or pyjamas and measures its movement. No sensors, wires or batteries.
- What it replaces
- A wearable sock or under-mattress pad, usually outgrown by 12 to 18 months.
Included, no subscription needed
How breathing motion monitoring works
Alerts that know the difference between a wriggle and a cry
- What it does
- Sends separate alerts for crying, motion, standing and when breathing motion is not detected, tuned to your sensitivity.
- How it works
- The camera classifies what it sees and hears in real time; you choose which alerts you want.
- What it replaces
- A sound-only monitor that wakes you for every rustle, or that you learn to ignore.
Included, no subscription needed
How alerts work
One number for how last night actually went
- What it does
- Scores each night out of 100 using time asleep, wake-ups and settling time.
- How it works
- Computer vision detects sleep and wake from the overhead view, so the score is measured, not self-reported.
- What it replaces
- A sleep diary you fill in yourself.
Nanit Insights, free for 12 months
See what Insights adds
1080p from above the cot, day and night
- What it does
- A full overhead view of the whole cot in true HD, with infrared night vision, on any phone.
- How it works
- The stand or mount places the lens directly above the mattress, the angle that shows how they are actually lying.
- What it replaces
- A handheld parent unit with a 720p side-on view.
Included, no subscription needed
Floor Stand vs Wall Mount vs Flex Stand
Go back and see what actually happened
- What it does
- Two days of video history included, so you can check what caused an alert or how a nap really went.
- How it works
- Clips are saved securely against sleep and alert events and stay in your account only.
- What it replaces
- Wondering, or a monitor with no memory at all.
Nanit Insights, free for 12 months
Privacy and video storageFour built-in sounds and a sleep timer, played from the camera
- What it does
- Plays birds, white noise, wind or waves through the camera speaker, with a timer for 30 minutes, 60 minutes or continuous play.
- How it works
- Started, stopped or changed from the Nanit app, so you do not need to go into the nursery.
- What it replaces
- A separate white noise app or speaker in the room.

The short answer
Is the Nanit Pro + Floor Stand right for me?
Choose the Floor Stand if you want the overhead view without drilling into a wall: it stands freely beside the cot, height-adjusts as your baby grows, and includes a Flex Stand for travel. It is the most chosen Nanit Pro configuration in Australia.

Before you decide
Is a Floor Stand better than a Wall Mount?
It depends on your home. A Floor Stand needs no drilling and can be repositioned or moved between rooms, which suits a rental or a nursery you expect to rearrange. A Wall Mount gives the cleanest, most permanent look with the cable hidden, and needs two wall anchors.
Can I use the Floor Stand in a rental?
Yes. The Floor Stand is freestanding, so it needs no drilling or permanent installation, which makes it a straightforward choice for a rental home.
Does the Floor Stand grow with my child?
Yes. The stand height-adjusts, so it continues to give an overhead view from a bassinet-height cot through to a toddler bed.
What comes in the box?
Nanit Pro camera, adjustable Floor Stand, Flex Stand for travel, a newborn Breathing Band and pyjamas, USB-C cable, Australian power adapter and a quick start guide.
Can Nanit Pro play soothing sounds?
Yes. Nanit Pro can play four built-in sounds, birds, white noise, wind and waves, through the camera speaker. Set a timer for 30 minutes, 60 minutes, or leave it running continuously, all from the Nanit app.
